Similarly he spoke
lovely words dedicated to his mother Rajni Tendulkar, who had come to stadium
for the first time just to see his son play his last game. Sachin said ‘It
would have been so hard for her to bring up a child like me...I was so
naughty’. Here Sachin acknowledged her mother’s many unaccounted sacrifices and
the fear that her mother always had in her heart of her son getting hurt. This
is the best thing about mothers; they care more for her kids than anything else
in this world. Salute to Mrs. Rajni Tendulkar for bringing up Sachin in the
most mannered way. His son has emerged as the most known iconic face of India
and world. Sachin got emotional after talking about his parents but there were
few more names to mention. He thanked the first person who introduced him to
his guru Ramakant Achrekar, it was his brother Ajit Tendulkar. Both brothers
had the same passion for cricket but elder brother sacrificed his dreams to
develop the playing skills of Sachin. This shows a selfish relationship to
which Sachin has already respected.
After that he was
done with his family, he took the pleasure to thank his life partner Mrs.
Anjali Tendulkar, who gave up her bright career as a doctor so that her husband
can play his game and not worry about home and kids. Mrs. Anjali couldn’t
control her emotions but she managed to cover it behind her black shades. Mrs.
Anjali represents that Indian woman who is always ready to take backseat so
that her husband can bring his dreams alive. Unfortunately not all men are as
understanding as Sachin and such many devotional women are never recognised for
compromising with their own dreams. A lady expects a little love, care and
understanding from her partner and nothing more. Then in the line of being
honoured for their presence in Sachin’s life, he referred to his two kids as
two diamonds. Sara and Arjun (aspiring cricketer) were happy when Sachin
promised them that he will spend rest of life with them. Sachin made himself
look as that caring husband who is tough for the rest of world but bows in
front of his kids. Imagine a man who has hit sixes in the bowls of other
legendary cricketers, said sorry to his kids for his absence from their life.
India is a country
where heroes are worshipped. So if we can learn to remove our shirt and show
our muscular body (Thanx to Salman Khan) and how to woo a girl from Shahrukh
Khan, then why can’t we learn from Sachin on how to respect your life partner
and females in general? How to give recognition to other’s sacrifices? And how
to accept that values are important to make positive impact on life? The
decision of Government of India on awarding Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar with Bharat
Ratna is so correct. If not for anything else, he should get this highest
honour for his soft and simple nature that has impressed generations. And I
believe we will continue to learn from Sachin and many more Sachins who will
rise in other fields.
So for me SRT is
more than a cricketer, legend, best batsman, copy of Don Bradman...he is an
idol, a true Indian in every aspect of life.
Find Sachin in you.
