Being Fooled By Fools!

Digvijaya Singh in affair with Amrita Rai!

The worst that could happen to kill the trust that people of India hold for their leaders. Once more, a top politician has blackened the beautiful face of our great nation. And I am sure within a few days; this piece of news will be flushed out from our mind, only to be occupied by yet- another shocking news.  It looks like our leaders are in the tough race to prove their potency and to show how macho they are even after crossing the retirement age of 60. Digvijaya Singh should offer his prayers to N D Tiwari and seek his blessings. Singh should also ask Tiwari for the medical prescription to be used at this age.

I am so stunned thinking that how can we leave our nation in the dirty hands of such people, who are not aware of the responsibilities they have.  As the spidy hero says, ‘With great powers comes great responsibilities’ I would like to modify it a little in context of our leaders-

‘All are trying to get their hands on the powers but no one is willing to take the responsibilities on their shoulders’

During the election time, when parties were announcing their candidates from respective constituencies around the states, I saw a glimpse of Digvijaya Singh and his legal son Jai Vardhan Singh on TV. Senior Singh has four daughters and a son from his late wife Asha Singh, who passed away in 2013. I would not like to dig more into Singh’s personal life because it is his personal choice to ruin his already destroyed public image. But as a citizen of India, a nation of largest democracy, I hold complete right to comment on his political career. How can I expect such leader to give importance to my present and future when he is busy in deriving all the pleasures? Why do these people forget that they hold an important office in centre and they are seen as a source of inspiration by many young minds (Here I am not taking in consideration people like Yadav, Singh or Tiwari as the source of inspiration)

The most satisfactory answer can be- We, the citizens have closed our eyes to the wrong. With so many self promoted national, state wise, religious groups present, we are standing against all good things. We stand against gay marriage, inter caste inter religion marriage and many other acts of mutual love and brotherhood, all in the name of culture and tradition. But of which culture are we talking? The same culture that has been killed by us! I really find it funny when elders blame the young generation for getting stoned in pubs and parties but what about those naked sadhus and babas in Varanasi who smoke the same pot in the name of Shiva. Also we have gone blind in the name of society that surrounds us and controls us right from the time of birth to the day of death. What kind of society is it? Ofcourse it is not an ideal society, for that it peeks more inside your home than focusing on its own stuffs.  If a high profile personality goes to jail, he gets a decorated come back party from his party workers and he enjoys the same life as before. But if by mistake, any Muslim or any other ordinary citizen is taken into custody as a suspect, he loses his job, source of income and his family.

You may be finding this article a little messed up as I connect a politician’s activity to your life but it does have a connection. Don’t fool yourself anymore! It is only when you will become an aware citizen, then only you can chose and expect a clean government.

As I conclude this article thinking about the hopeless future of my nation, I need you to ask yourself-

Who is really stupid? These so called leaders who have framed constitution as per their wishes or you, the citizen of India who keep such people in power and held them high to allow them to pee on your head.
