On the way to Havelock...thats The Brother! |
12.19pm,
Saturday 30th November 2013
Right now, I
am sitting inside a government cruise and facing a lot of difficulty in writing.
Shakes and jumps! The good thing is, we are sitting in an air-conditioned
cabin. But even with this difficulty, words are flowing in smoothly. This
smoothness of words is the result cold sea-winds that are crossing through my
hair and enriching my mind. For writing, I have come out on the deck of cruise
and have found myself a nice and spacious corner to sit. Being a government
cruise, this cruise has not been maintained and it is rusting from each angle.
Ok so why am I struggling to hold pen tightly and trying to write these words?
Answer is- Havelock island!!
(Please
search this island on Google and your eyes will be delighted)
Oh yeah
baby! For those who have never heard of this island...please visit this place
before your journey ends on this earth. I guess words can reflect my excitement
to be on that island. I think for a middle class family, this is the cheapest
way to get as close to nature.
8.08pm, Same
day
Dad had met
a couple from Maharashtra on the cruise. The man told my dad that they had been
to various foreign lands but they have never seen such beautiful place as
Havelock!
I am sitting
in our room at Hotel V note, a very in-budget hotel supported by basic
amenities. Our driver had already arranged for two rooms and a white Scorpio
car. Havelock is truly a very peaceful place for those
who are looking out for some peace. So many foreigners roam around in the road,
in minimum of clothing. They drink their chilled beer and smoke the grass
freely. Today after ‘6565’ number wali Scorpio car picked us from cruise port
and we kept our bags in the hotel rooms, we were immediately taken to
Radhanagar Beach. Want to write more about beach and how we watched that beautiful
sunset, but body too tired.

You can actually get to see this in Radhanagar Beach..well I was not lucky enough!! |
Memories
from Radhanagar beach prompted me to write following lines, while I was on way
to Chennai-
This water
tells me to slow down a little,
To see how
beautifully it remains still.
It advises
me to breathe the air fully inside,
For that
dirt has been fuelled inside.
It urges me
to know how deep it is,
For that it
contains so many lives in it.
I take a dip
in the water,
in the greed
to see it from inside.
As I touch
the base and close my eyes,
I feel light
and healed from inside.
No good or
bad, do I know!
No right or
wrong, do I seek!
All I seek
is love and peace..
What I feel can’t
be expressed in words,
For that
what I see is one and only one!
More to come....
