I am amazed
that I am left with so much energy to write for second time in a single day.
The writer in me is getting better and stronger. Chennai airport is really a
well maintained, neat & clean government property that can reflect the fine
state of art technology that has been used. Around early evening, we sat in a cab that
took us to T-Nagar, a famous neighbour place where you will find best of saris
weaved in purest of silk. After my mother and aunty bought themselves the best
of saris in respective price range, we were standing outside the same giant
building owned by a famous sari brand. It took us fifteen minutes and cups of
tea to decide on where to head next. As soon as we decided on going to Marina
Beach, I was reminded of my school friend who lives here in Chennai. I always
prefer local contacts over Google or Nokia maps. Being Desi! I
immediately messaged my friend on Whatsapp and he was quiet helpful in telling
me the best options of reaching Marina Beach.
After riding
in two autos for almost 30-40 minutes, we were dropped in a road around Marina
Beach. Near the beach there is a big cricket stadium. Sorry I can’t remember
its name now. As I looked around that place, I could replace area around Marina
Beach with Marine Drive and that big stadium with our own Wankhede stadium.
Home is home! The sea was same as so many others I have been to. Winds were
cold enough to beat the heat. And crowd
was as excited as it could be. People were clicking pictures, jumping in water.
We were in no mood of touching water as Andaman was all about water! So we kept
ourselves decent and enjoyed the evening till we realised that we should head
back to Army guest house, the place where we stayed for one night. There is
also a big, well built park/garden near beach.

Looks Royal...right? Indian Army food mess! |
Just 1 hour
back, we have filled our tummy with a very mild-spiced pure vegetarian food
that ended with fruit custard as dessert. I guess I won’t be chased and killed
by secret agencies but custard was really bad. Anyway, food actually tastes
better when eaten with hands, spoon and fork are just for showing how well
mannered you are! But this personal choice didn’t let me eat with hand.
Now,
time for a tired & tight sleep.
