Being a Muslim.

To start with, I am not a saint or a leader to lead a change. I am an average 22years old boy for whom the world is still a small place to live. Through this article, I don’t intend to make any change in the mindset of some hardcore religious people. Having wrote this, I strongly believe that we are living in an ecosystem. This article is a part of my efforts to save this ecosystem.

Through the eyes of a Muslim-

‘Ayeh! Aatankwadi saale...ja Pakistan ja kutte’, this is how we are honoured in the public. Some of the very basic stereotypes for my community and religion-

1. Under our Burqa, we carry AK 47 and explosives for mass killing. Some eyes even convey that I am a human bomb.

2. We have zero tolerance for other religions.

3. We don’t give birth to girl or boy, terrorist come out of our womb.

4. We grow long beard to scare the shit out of people.

5. Madrassa is a training camp where we learn every bad thing.

6. We eat cow, goat and chicken because we are killers.

7. We don’t belong to the mainstream because we cover our body and don’t wear skinny clothes.

8. We are not modern and broad minded because we don’t smoke and drink.

9. We plan all terrorist activities inside Masjids.

10. We are the sole creator of violence, all over the world.

11. We are recognised from the length of beard and skull cap, not education and achievements.

12. Our festivals are all about killing animals.

13. We do friendship with non-Muslims to convert them to Islam.

And

14. Quran teaches us violence.

I don’t need to explain what my religion stands for because people don’t deserve to know the beautiful explanation of what my religion is!
