Note: I was avoiding writing this
article. This article was half baked since August 2013. The reason for
avoidance was simple- When it comes to honour killings we necessarily tag an
Indian state along this crime.
In the fourth instalment of action packed
Rambo series, Stallone said in his trademark heavy voice ‘killing is as easy as
breathing’. Looks like we humans knew this thing, long before. Come out of the
big screen and face the real face, not much difference you will see. Killings
have become so common in the land of Gandhi, the preacher of non-violence. The
worst aspect is, these killings are considered as honourable act. So many baseless
reasons are present to put on the table for the killings and few are the laws
that are active to stand against this unconstitutional act. Honour killing is
not something new that we have read or heard about. They were in action from a
long time, it is just that in last ten years these killings were brought under
spotlights and I fear that some cases are still not reported.
Also I guess this fever has spread to all
over of Asia, that’s includes India, Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh.

Every action needs a strong backup. If
honour killing is a social evil then Khap panchayats are biological parents of
this evil. The one who supports evil, becomes a devil.
Sick is the mind of those who are away
from enlightenment!
8th May 2017- I really don’t
know under what context (as in related to which news piece) I had started this
article. Whatever it was, I can’t really recall it now. However because I have
written whatever little it is, I shall publish it on my blog.
P.S- 2013, that was a nice year I guess!
