Of the On-Going & Past

You may read this as a political article but it is not. This is exactly what a 28 years old boy-man who has lived his life through developments of 1990s and advancement of 2000s feels about the present-day India. Whatever you are going to read below are my personal thoughts, opinion and a few suggestions. I am well aware that I am not at all well read about the history of our nation and in no capacity, I can comment on Who is the real culprit? So here it is-

I was born in 1991. Dr. Singh had brought back dying economy back on its feet. Computers were on their way to penetrate India’s bazaar, Sachin Tendulkar was the crowned king of Cricket and Bollywood was on all-time high. In 1993, Mumbai (Bombay) witnessed a deadly series of bomb blasts. Why this year and the year before are so important to mention in here? Because, in the coming years a religion and its followers were ‘tagged’ & ‘labelled’. Amongst all this, I was still there living in the city of Bijnore (UP). I was still miles away from this all, happy and growing in my own little world. ‘What’ and ‘How’ of caste, colour and religions had still not touched me. Father transferred to the big-dream city of Mumbai in 1996 and in the coming years I completed my schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya where like many others- I made friends with boys/girls from diverse background, never complaining about the smell of oil they used, the attire of their labour class parents, how damaged/dirty their tiffin box and bag was and never ever it crossed my mind ‘To which religion/caste my best friend is affiliated to?’

Now, I wonder if coming generation will be taught from Grade 1 about ‘Who is a minority?’ & ‘Who sits at the helm’? and May be also the concept of a ‘Supreme Leader’?

I don’t say that back then there was no concept of poverty, corruption, rape, murder, mob lynching and all kind of discrimination. Yes, all these factors have been in existence since the year we, the stupid undeserving people of India have gained our Independence. Right now, after the introduction of cheap internet and worldwide reach, each and every one of us have got social media/ deepfake videos as the next generation tools to put a spark of fire on the heap of rumours. It makes me go into pity for all of us that we didn’t fail to show our true colour as soon as we were granted independence and we were ready to kill each other during partition without any hesitation.

And about that period of partition….look there are many theories, stories and articles. I say read all, believe none. Only what is universally truth shall be accepted. Opinions like ‘Mohammad Ali Jinnah was a devil’- https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/chandigarh/in-1929-jinnah-had-strongly-defended-bhagat-singh/articleshow/64057887.cms & even that ‘M K Gandhi was a God in Human form’- https://www.livemint.com/mint-lounge/features/the-girl-who-found-a-mother-in-gandhi-1567766927190.html shall be rejected. To say that Jawaharlal Nehru and Shri. Savarkar were not true patriots is also wrong and not justified. None of us who are still breathing and also those who were before us, was saint or a devil. We are no one of judge who was who because the reality is that they acted in their personal/official capacity as per the given situation back in the day.

I am sure riots/killings of 1947 (partition period) made us look so stupid in front of colonial rulers. You think they left us and hence they lost the game? Ah come on! Remove this blindfold off your eyes and accept the fact that they were highly successful in tearing an already wounded nation into two parts. Why we allowed them, an outsider to divide our own house? Kindly take out a little time out of your otherwise useless life and think over the kind of superpower ‘Hindustan’ would have been if still had our ‘neighbours’ attached to us as our ‘brothers’.

How can we possibly forget that during the struggle for a free India, people (both man and woman) from all the races participated in the sacrifice? I feel so bad for the great martyr Bhagat Singh who sacrificed his life for the nation at the age of 23! Are we worth of such thousands of sacrifices made?

No, definitely not!

While the theory of one party, one leader may have been successful in some other country, this is something that India shall never accept. We become we when people from all backgrounds join hands together in the over-all development of the nation.

On recently concluded trip to India, Mr. Trump, POTUS has signed 2$ billion arms deal with India and I don’t understand why people are actually happy about this. Are you serious? Can’t you understand that in other part of the world, some people will be wasting their time in producing guns and missiles that will be ultimately be delivered to Indian Army.

Don’t we have real life problems like bad infrastructure, poor health and global warming to deal with? Want to know why this defence deal is a bad knock on the door? This means that your 5 years old kid who is playing with toys and is happy with life will have to face a world surviving in war zone. Any government loaded with strong powerful can do either of these two things- attack/exploit other nation to prove their dominance or can easily turn a democracy into a dictatorship.

I don’t see it as an impossible task if each and every nation around the world decides to surrender their weapons. The melted metal can be reused to build parks, electric vehicles, schools and good hospitals. Oh yes, I know it takes a lot of lower down your shield but don’t you think ‘world peace’ deserves a try?

I wish India had spent this 2$ billion on better life style, medicine and most importantly education. Here I would like to congratulate educated government of Delhi who has proved their mettle once again by winning third term purely on the basis of work done for education, transportation and healthcare sector. I was keeping myself away from mentioning names of individuals and political parties but there is one important thing that needs to be highlighted. Delhi has clearly shown that the credentials of Mr. Manoj Tiwari, Actor & part time cricketer, face of BJP had no stand as against Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, IITian & ex-IRS, Honourable CM of Delhi. As I am a pure Mumbaikar now, I wish to see same in Maharashtra as expectations are high from the new government of coalition and especially from Mr. Uddhav Thackeray, Honourable CM of Maharashtra. Every state government should spend maximum on maintenance of public spaces, healthcare for everyone and obviously law & order. Here I would like to mention what I have observed in many years spent in Mumbai (Navi Mumbai)- Safety for Girls/Women. A big reason for this is Great Maratha king & warrior Chattarpati Shivaji Maharaj (let me confess that I am big fan of Maharaj for the way he conducted himself as a leader and now in modern times, a big fan of Shiv-Sena main man Late. Balasaheb Thackeray)

2020 is high time when we should accept that our education system is totally wrong. Our education system has managed to successfully produce batches of robotic humans who are ready to work in a cubicle. A few who have dared to raise question or fight for their or others right have been labelled as the next big threat.

Wake up people! There is so much happening around in world that one can sometime feel like giving up urban life and moving up to the mountains. And on a very serious note, hurry up & kindly visit beautiful mountains of India and around the world before the human’s greed. Our home is already burning through communal riots, civil unrest, natural calamities and new age killing viruses.

I would have written a few more lines in regards to the ongoing violence in my own country- India, Delhi but then Will the government listen to many voices like me who demands expulsion of Kapil Mishra, Anurag Thakur, Parvesh Verma and Abhay Verma and of AAP’s Tahir Hussain?

PS- Kindly read the articles posted in regards to Jinaah and Gandhi and try to understand that both the ingredients of ‘Good’ & ‘Bad’ forms the whole decision making and behavioural system of a Human being.
