Grass Is Always Green

The present times that we are living in is self explanatory in nature. No, it’s not just about a Virus-on-a-world tour, it is also about the change in the ‘Power-Order’ but maybe it deserves another dedicated article. Back to Virus, there is a constant mix of fear, uncertainty, depression and also a pinch of hope inside our very fragile brain. Even those fake brave-hearts who had dismissed the evil effect of Virus for long had to roll back under the blanket from the fear, just after their idol (was auto-corrected to IDIOT, no wonder) POTUS Trump was rushed to hospital. This is after a very long time, probably after WW-2 that the world has come together as a whole. Hmmm I guess even back then, only the concerned countries were actually in the game because half of the remaining world was already in battle for freedom or survival. So, you see, this pandemic is the real life Thanos!

The only other similarity between WW-2 & the on-going pandemic is the root cause- The Madness of One Man. While we all know Hitler (Ok, is it not a matter of grave irony that this maniac shared similar moustache style with the God of laughter Mr. Charlie Chaplin?) to be the monster behind hundreds of genocides and massacres, the blame-game for this pandemic is still under wrap! May be, the world is still busy on recovery rather than taking down a common enemy. Mind you, the forthcoming wars will be fought on digital platforms, supported by DATA as a deadly weapon!

So, apart from discovering a new 'Normal' every other day, we often find asking our self, "What's next?" Well, the answer lies with no one as a look at a scenario of 'full recovery' is still dim & blur. Having said that, may be its a good time to reflect back on material things we own and to pump back a little spirituality we have left inside us.

- There is an unsaid charm in playing stupid games with a child at home.

- There is a sense of achievement in sending your sister/brother to kitchen for a midnight cup of Chai (Yeah, being a Pahadi, Chai is our Coffee!)

- There is a satisfying peace in closing your eyes after a whole day of hard labour.

- There is a punch of mischievousness in eating up the last piece of Pizza.

- There is a pride in yelling "Bhaiya Stand!" or signaling "A part of your saree is outside closed car door!" when on the road.

And while you feel proud of yourself in buying your loved ones gifts, it feels more than good to tip your e-retailer's delivery boy/girl.

I know this sounds stupid & 'Obviously I know that!' but there are people out there who run not for a good health but to win, while churning their bones & soul ruthlessly. We have witnessed a massive flow of mostly awful news in last 6-7 months. It's high time to buckle up and start finding joy in the smallest of miracles. Yes, I wrote 'Miracle' not 'Things' because with all mayhem going on in our surrounding, being alive is no more a 'Thing' but a 'Miracle'!

There is a dialogue exchange between Gandalf & Galadriel from the movie- The Hobbit: An Expected Journey that I find most apt to sum-up this article-

 Galadriel: Mithrandir.....why the Halfling?

Gandalf:  I don't know! Saruman believes it is only a great power that can hold evil in check. But that is not what I have found. I have found it is the small things, everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keeps the darkness at bay. Simple acts of kindness and Love.
